randvibe is a collection of browser-based randomization tools. We are committed to transparency about data practices. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
We do not require account creation, collect personal information, or ask for your name, email, or any identifying details. The only data collection happens through optional analytics, described below.
3. Analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog, a product analytics platform, to understand how visitors interact with our tools. Analytics are opt-in only — we do not track you unless you explicitly grant consent through the banner that appears on your first visit. When you consent, PostHog collects anonymized usage data such as pages visited, button clicks, and browser type. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
randvibe uses your browser's local storage to remember two preferences: your chosen theme (light or dark) and your analytics consent status. If you grant analytics consent, PostHog may also set cookies for session tracking. No cookies are set without your explicit consent.
5. Third-Party Services
Our site links to Amazon.com through affiliate links for the physical Magic 8 Ball product. Clicking these links takes you to Amazon, which has its own privacy policy. We do not share any of your data with Amazon or receive identifying information about you from them.
6. Data Retention
Theme preferences and consent status are stored in your browser and remain until you clear your browser data. PostHog analytics data, when consent is granted, is retained according to PostHog's data retention policies.
7. Children's Privacy
randvibe does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal data from any users, this applies universally.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to decline analytics tracking via the consent banner. You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your browser settings. Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to request, correct, or delete.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of randvibe after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
